Planned Giving

"Planned Giving" involves making charitable gifts in an organized manner, taking into account the needs and wishes of the donor and the donor's family, the tax and economic impact of the gifts to be made, the alternative giving techniques available, and the needs of the charitable institution involved. Some of these gifts include keeping a flow of income during the donor's lifetime or for a period of years, while LCA receives the remaining assets later. Which alternative might be best for a particular donor depends on his or her circumstances. The advice of competent professionals, including the donor's lawyer, certified public accountant, financial and insurance counselors, and other advisors should be sought. LCA welcomes opportunities to discuss planned giving alternatives with potential donors and their advisors.

When naming LCA as a beneficiary or designating any gift for LCA, please use LCA's legal name: The Literacy Council of Alaska. Our federal identification number is # 92-6010100.
