LCA's School Age Tutoring Program trains adult volunteer tutors in learning styles and supports them throughout a six week commitment to individual students. Tutors work with students one-on-one to increase proficiency in areas identified by teachers, as well as to help students increase "school" skills such as staying on task, social skill development, and completion of homework. Based on our community needs, we will also provide short workshops on resume writing and college admissions essay exams. Tutoring is a great way to get some experience, build your resume and positively change the future. We are looking for people who are motivated, who like to work with children. If you are interested in tutoring in the School Age Program call LCA at 907-456-6212.
