Overview:
The Delta Junction ELL Instructor and Program Support position is responsible for providing program administration in Delta Junction, supporting and helping to teach local English as a Second Language classes, recruiting volunteers & students, helping to facilitate volunteer training workshops, tracking and recording data, and administering assessment tests

Job Duties:
Perform administrative duties for ELL classes already being held in Delta Junction
Teaching up to 4 hours a week (30%)
Attending virtual meetings of the ELL department once a week and staying in good communication with the office in Fairbanks (10%)
Recruiting, providing support for virtual trainings and potentially offering occasional local training for volunteers (5%)
Subbing as needed in the evening (5%)
Other duties related to this program as requested by the Director of ELL Programs (5%)
Job Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Teaching and or training experience required
Experience in cross-cultural settings required
Fluency with computers, data entry, and video conferencing
Strong communication skills
Willingness to learn new technology
Willingness to be trained in ELL placement assessments
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with standardized testing in some field
Masters degree in education or ESL-related degree preferred
Supervised by the Director of ELL Programs
Starting Salary: $19.50 per/hr @ 12 hrs/wk
Onboarding to start immediately, classes to begin in January
